Audio Podcasting
Description
Participants use digital audio technology to create original content for a podcast piece that addresses the annual theme. The podcast must feature high level storytelling techniques, voice acting, and folly sound effects; the full entry must include documentation of the podcast development process and elements. Semifinalists participate in an interview.
2024-25 Theme
Students will develop a podcast on preparing to compete in a TSA event and/or preparing for your first TSA conference
NOTE: First names can now be used in the podcast
Event Deadlines
January 23, 2025
Students will submit their audio podcast for judging.
Students will need their Participant ID number, and password, from their advisor. Only the team captain will be able to upload the file.
NOTE: Students may make changes to podcast after January judging is complete.
March 2025
This is an Early Entry Event!
Podcasts and portfolios are due by 5:00 pm on March 14!

Semifinalists will be announced during the opening session, and will have 24 to 36 hours (will be announced at the time) to create a new podcast with the onsite challenge.
Washington TSA Rules
To compete, students must:
Belong to a currently affiliated TSA chapter
Be registered (by their TSA advisor) for competition by December 20, 2024 ($30)
Compete in the January 23, 2025 virtual competition (see individual event pages for details)
Be selected as a top competitor in their event(s) and invited to participate at State
Number of competitors is dependent on specific event
Qualifying competitor lists will be published by February 10, 2025
State Conference registration week February 24-28, 2025 (see state conference page for details)
At the state level, 3 teams (may be a team of 1) per chapter may compete.
