Promotional Marketing

Description

Participants create a portfolio of marketing tools. Semifinalists work creatively under constraints to design a solution to a problem given onsite.

The toolkit components will be digitally submitted on a USB flash drive.

2024-25 Design Challenge

Charitable and service organizations are the backbone of our communities.  A group called “Students Helping Grandparents” has contacted your chapter advisor about your chapter hosting an event at a public library, during which chapter members will lead focus group discussions with senior citizens.

Topic: The topic for the focus groups will be helping senior citizens understand and avoid online cybercrime. 

Date: Tuesday May 27, 2025

Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM. 

Printable: Design a tri-fold brochure. 
Wearable: Design a hat that can be given to participants.
Digital Signage: Create an auto-advancing slide presentation that is no longer than two (2)  minutes in length.

Event Deadlines

 

January 23, 2025

Upload pdf file

Students will need their Participant ID number, and password, from their advisor.

Students submit printable tri-fold brochure as a pdf file. See Design Challenge above.

April 2025

Students will upload printable advertisement and wearable design as a pdf.

Students will upload the digital signage to a platform of their choice, and then submit a URL link.

PDF and URL must be submitted by 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2025

All students will compete in a challenge onsite.

NOTE

This is a low enrollment event, requiring students to receive at least 75% of the total points possible to be in the Top 5 on stage, or to progress to the National TSA Conference in this event.

 

Washington TSA Rules

To compete, students must:

  • Belong to a currently affiliated TSA chapter

  • Be registered (by their TSA advisor) for competition by December 20, 2024 ($30)

  • Compete in the January 23, 2025 virtual competition (see individual event pages for details)

  • Be selected as a top competitor in their event(s) and invited to participate at State

    • Number of competitors is dependent on specific event

    • Qualifying competitor lists will be published by February 10, 2025

    • State Conference registration week February 24-28, 2025 (see state conference page for details)

At the state level, 3 individuals per chapter may compete.
