Students submit documentation portfolio items c-f.

These portfolio components can be completed for the base drone only. Meaning the required portfolio components would be for all parts of the drone that teams would need for basic flying and visualization, but not require January portfolio components to include work for the pickup mechanism (claw, scoop, etc.) yet.

Rubric scoring will be Photo Log, Wiring Diagram, Programming Explanation/Description and Engineered Drawings.

Students will need their Participant ID number, and password, from their advisor. Only the team captain will be able to upload the file.

April 2025

Students submit portfolio and compete in Drones event

UPDATES

  1. As a safety guideline, all drone teams will need to provide a plastic container with a lid to house their drone. We will use these containers to prevent teams from having to remove the drone propellers so many times. However, the team will still have to demonstrate that their props are removable. This is a Go/No Go requirement. Not having the container will result in disqualification.

  2. Teams will have 15 minutes in the prep/practice area, rather than 30.
